What is the Patriot Crossroads Challenge?

The Crossroads Challenge is a two day SoccerMaine sanctioned tournament held over Indigenous Peoples Day Weekend for boys and girls "classic" teams ages U9-U14.
Now in its 25th year (2025)! 

 U9 and U10 teams will play 3 games each either on Saturday or Sunday.
U11 teams will play 3 games spread out over Saturday and Sunday.
U12-U14 "competitive" teams will play a minimum of 3 games with the opportunity to advance to the championship game.

2025 Crossroads Updates

Registration for the 2025 Crossroads Challenge is closed.  We will be sending out a communication out soon confirming teams registered. We look forward to another great tournament in our 25th year!

Good Afternoon Crossroads Participants - Please read through the items below and do not hesitate to reach out with any questions. 

  • Please make sure to check the game schedule for any last minute changes. (once schedule posted,mid/late Sept.)
  • Read over the tournament rules 
  • A copy of the field map will be posted on our web site closer to the tournament. There will also be a PDF copy on the right side of the page for download. (mid/late Sept.)
  • ALL coaches are required to check in 1 hour before your first game, see the registration table noted on the map. 
  • NO DOGS are allowed on campus!  Anyone with a dog will be asked to leave (and please don't leave them in a hot car)
  • Park in designated spots only, the campus parking will be tight. Parents will want to allow extra time. Carpool if able.
  • All U12-U14 teams are eligible to play in the finals on Sunday, times and locations are at the bottom of your divisions schedule page.  Both champions and runners up should make their way to the high school bleachers after the game for an awards ceremony.
  • All U9-U11 players receive a **NEW**  participation PATCH, these are given to the head coach at check in. To accommodate all teams, games will consist of 20 minute halves.
  • Make sure to visit our student and parent run booths at the high school
  • We will have Nathan Tsukroff at the tournament taking photographs with emphasis on the championship award ceremonies. All images will be available for free download after the event, a link will be provided in our follow up email.
